In this blog post, we are going to talk about the Alpha Mindset and how it can change your life.
But I’m also going to share 11 tips for alphas, and how they can begin working today to change the world for the better.
Men and women can embrace the alpha mentality.
In fact, I wish that more men and women would choose to do this.
Not only does the alpha mentality make you more attractive, but it also transforms your life.
And beyond that, it also gives you the potential to create your own destiny and transform the world.
Here are 10 ways to start changing the world by embracing a true alpha leadership mentality.
1. Take Responsibility For Your Actions And The Consequences Of Those Actions

There are a lot of people in this world who do not take responsibility for their actions.
They blame others, they make excuses, and they point fingers.
This is why most people don’t get anywhere in life.
We can’t move forward if we’re always stuck looking at what other people did wrong, or what happened to us that made us feel sorry for ourselves.
This is all victim-mentality stuff.
The best thing you can do to start changing the world is to stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Take responsibility for your actions and the consequences of those actions.
Stop wasting time with thoughts like “why me?” or “what about him?”
It’s time to focus on how you can change the world and create your own destiny instead.
2. Be A Good Listener, Not Just A Talker

The best leaders are not necessarily those who talk the most.
They’re the ones who listen more than anyone else, and learn from what others say.
As alpha-minded leaders who want to change the world, it’s in our best interest to listen to others, understand their problems, and seek to find solutions to those problems.
If you’re constantly talking and never listening, you’re going to miss out on building crucial relationships with the people you care about.
The key to being a good listener is really simple; be interested in what others are saying, and try to empathize with them to the best of your ability.
3. Be Curious About Other People’s Stories

Someties, the hardest thing about being curious about other people’s struggles is that we don’t always know what to say.
We tend to be afraid of saying the wrong thing.
Or worse yet, we tend to be afraid of hurting someone’s feelings with our ignorance.
But as it turns out, the right thing to say is often to say nothing at all… at least at first.
Start by asking questions, and really listening to the answers.
This is a powerful leadership practice.
And as alphas, we must develop the habit of listening, learning, and understanding the perceptions of other people.
And then, when we think we understand what they might be feeling, we can empathize.
Sometimes people just need to be heard. Sometimes, we might not be able to help.
But in all cases, we can strive to understand.
And that matters a lot more than most people realize.
4. Have Empathy Towards Others – Put Yourself In Their Shoes To Understand Their Perspective And Feelings

The world has become an increasingly difficult place to live in.
We are constantly surrounded by negative news, depressing stories, and distressing events.
Sometimes it can feel impossible to be ‘happy’ when so much is wrong with the world around us.
And all too often, we find ourselves so wrapped up in our own problems that we forget other people are also struggling with their own issues.
But as alphas who want to change the world, it’s incredibly important that we learn to understand that our focus needs to be on the needs of our tribe.
It can be hard to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, but empathy is about understanding what they’re going through rather than being judgmental or feeling sorry for them.
Empathy starts by getting out of your comfort zone and putting yourself into another person’s shoes.
Try doing a little soul searching every day before you judge somebody else for what they do or say.
I used to really struggle with this. I’d be really hard on people.
But nowadays, I try to take a softer approach.
I try to be more understanding.
Trust me, it matters.
5. Know Your Strengths And Weaknesses So You Can Play To Them As Needed

Strengths and weaknesses are a blessing and a curse.
They’re what help us grow into the people we want to be, but they also hold us back from achieving our goals in life.
Here’s the key. If you can learn to understand your own strengths and weaknesses, then you can play to them as needed.
It’s not easy being in a society where we are constantly being told what our weaknesses are and what we need to improve on.
For example. On my YouTube channel, people will often leave comments about my jewelry, or my beard… and they’ll basically criticize me for them.
But it’s also really important for us to realize that we each bring amazing strengths to the table.
And it’s important to realize that we need to keep our goal at the forefront of our mind.
Take some time to figure out what you’re good at.
Try to analyze yourself and figure out where you tend to excel, and where you tend to struggle.
For me, taking personality tests helped me to figure this out.
The Myers Briggs and the Enneagram tests are the most useful for this, in my experience.
6. Be Passionate About What You Do

What if you could wake up every morning, excited about what you do?
What if your life’s passion was the thing that put food on the table and helped you to build wealth?
Having a sense of purpose greater than ourselves, one that is so fulfilling that it can sustain us through difficult times, is a major source of strength.
And I believe that it’s imperative to the alpha mindset.
Do you know what your purpose is? If not, read this post to try to figure it out.
I believe that the key to finding true fulfillment in life is to follow your passion to solve a major problem and make life better for your tribe and the rest of the world.
Passion motivates us to work hard and excel at what we’re doing.
Without passion, people have a hard time sticking with things for long enough to make any significant progress.
For this reason, I believe that passion should act as a compass, to help us determine which direction we should take in life.
7. Believe In Your Ideas And Vision
There are a lot of people that have ideas, but don’t believe in them.
But as alpha-minded men and women, it’s imperative that we embody true belief in what we’re trying to accomplish.
Of course, this is sometimes more difficult than it sounds.
I don’t know what it is about us humans.
We’re so quick to give up on our dreams and aspirations, for fear that they’ll never happen.
We also tend to doubt ourselves, especially when we come up against adversity.
But here’s the truth of the matter:
If you believe in your own ideas and vision, then nothing can really stop them from becoming a reality.
It’s not easy to stay focused on a goal without any signs of progress.
But as long as you keep pushing forward, remain patient, keep being creative, and take it one step at a time, then success will eventually happen.
The only problem is that it can sometimes take longer than we were hoping.
8. Surround Yourself With People Who Believe In The Same Things As You

One of the best ways to achieve success is to surround yourself with people who believe in the same things as you.
This principle can be applied to your personal life, your work life, your relationships, and even your professional development.
As an alpha minded man who’s trying to leave a lasting legacy in this world, I have witnessed firsthand how destructive it can be to throw in with people who fundamentally disagree with what you’re trying to accomplish.
If someone disagrees with you, that doesn’t make them a bad person. But it may also be true that they’re not going to be headed in the same fundamental direction as you.
If you want to be successful, surround yourself with those who are motivated by your vision… people who can help to motivate you when times get tough, and who agree with you at the core of their soul and being.
But perhaps even more importantly, find people who believe in the same things as you. Don’t allow people who don’t agree with your vision to gain a seat within your inner circle.
9. Have Faith That Things Will Work Out, Even If They Don’t Seem To Be Going Well At First

You’ve probably heard the Bible verse that says “Faith without works is dead.”
Well, it’s true. You don’t even need to be religious to understand the drastic, and important implications of that statement.
I even wrote a blog post about this, which you can read here.
Here’s the thing.
To succeed in life, you actually need two things:
- You need a vision and the belief that you can succeed. This is faith.
- You need to work like a dog to make it happen. This is the ‘works’ part.
The only way to know if you’re going to succeed is to work, work, work like a dog, and never give up.
Keep trying new things, and keep failing until you find something that works.
You’re going to face failure along the way, and that’s ok.
There’ll be times when you’ll face setbacks.
There’ll even be days when nothing seems to go right.
Trust me… God knows that I feel this way on a regular basis!
But if you can keep faith in yourself, and believe that the work you do is important, then you can stick it out and continue to persevere.
The simple truth of the matter is this.
If you want it bad enough, if you care about it enough, if you’re willing to work hard enough, and if you’re willing to be creative in how you go about it, you’re virtually assured of success as long as you don’t give up.
10. Don’t Let Your Fear Of Failure Stop You From Trying New Things Or Taking Risks

Fear of failure is something that a lot of people deal with, and it can have some serious consequences for your productivity levels.
People who are afraid of failing often have trouble getting started on new tasks, and they don’t take risks when given the opportunity to do so.
- Do you find yourself avoiding tasks that involve a lot of risk?
- When given the opportunity to try something new, are you afraid that it’ll be too difficult?
- Do you worry about how others will view your failure?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, fear of failure may be holding you back in life.
The first step is to understand why you’re afraid of failing.
There are a lot of reasons why people fear failure, and it’s important to recognize which factors may be contributing to your own fears in order for you to better overcome them.
Some people fear that if they fail, it will lead to a breakdown within their romantic, friendship, or family relationships.
I even wrote a post about how we shouldn’t let our dating failures define us. Read it here.
Others may have grown up in an environment where failure was seen as unacceptable or shameful, and they may be carrying this fear over into adulthood.
But at the end of the day, this is the most important thing to remember.
As alpha-minded men and women, we need to face our fear of failure and dismiss it.
Are we going to fail?
Yes.
Is that something to be afraid of?
In the grand scheme of things, the answer to that question is a ‘no.’
Why?
Because failure is never really failure if you intend to keep trying.
It’s just a powerful lesson, teaching you what not to do next time.
In all actuality, failure is our greatest and most effective teacher.
11. Be A Visionary

Always remember.
You are an alpha.
And as such, it is your mandate to be a true visionary.
Your goal is to be a leader who wants to create an even better world… a leader capable of leading your tribe victoriously into the future.
But the only way to do this is by embracing your true passion, and being ceaselessly creative in everything that you do.
It might sound like a tall order, but it’s not.
Our vision for a better world must be held sacred, and we must work toward creating that future every day.
There are many ways to be creative in your life. Don’t limit yourself by doubting your own creative vision.
When you fully embrace your true passion and start living in alignment with it, you’ll become unstoppable. This is the true mandate of the alpha.
But it all starts with you and your own life.
What do you truly want? How do you want to change the world? What is your true passion?
And perhaps most importantly… how can you wake up and live in true alignment with your vision of the future?
In Conclusion
Hopefully, this post has given you some serious food for thought on the subject of living like a true alpha, and aspiring to change the world.
But don’t forget.
At the end of the day, the only way you’re going to change anything is by creating a vision, determining within yourself to create a solution to a problem, and then getting to work to solve it.
Go with grace, my friends, and never give up your power.
Until next time…
